Well, yes I am the worst blogger in the world!!! Things have been super busy at work with reports and the rest. But I won't bore you with the details. Anyway, got to go to a fab retreat at Darlington Park with the gals from Scrapboutique earlier this month and I had so much fun!!!!!! Can't wait to do it all again next year!!!! Got a couple of their monthly challenges done while I was there. The first one was to use up some of your old stash of chipboard. Did a layout of Harry when he was about 6 months old. Just love his smile in these pics!!
The other one I managed to finish was Amanda's monthly challenge to scrap a first. I found this photo of Sophie cuddling Harry just hours after he was born. Used some of the great new stuff I bought at the retreat. This one was so much fun to do and just love the way it turned out.
Thanks for dropping by and for all the great comments you leave. It makes my day!!!!

Scrap the Boys
This month over at Scrap the Boys, the challenge is to:
**SHOW US YOUR COLOURS**
We have recently had the AFL & NRL grand finals, the Rugby World Cup, the US Open etc so this month we want a layout of your boys or men showing their colours.
Please note that it does not have to be limited to footy or rugby, it can also include soccer, Touch Footy, Cricket, Tennis and sport that your child or hubby loves but you MUST make sure you have a photo of them in their colours!
Now, I must admit a slight hysteria when I got this challenge as I wasn't sure I had any photos!!!! After sifting through my old stash of pics (you know, the really old ones that you used to take with a film!!!!) I found this one of Troy in his first year of playing Rugby Union in Bourke. After playing league for so long he really enjoyed the change and is still playing every now and then (even though he is an old fella)!!
Make sure you come over and have a look at the great design team examples this month. There is some super inspiration. And who knows, you may even get to scrap a great old memory like I did!!

November at Scrap Jacked
Well this month is my first on the design team for Scrap Jacked. Love this layout of Harry in one of Troy's hats. Harry calls it his mowing hat. Not quite sure why but he looks so cute in the pics that I couldn't resist scrapping them.
Pop over and have a look at the fabulous pages from the rest of the design team. Oh, and the prizes this month are super as well. The most voted for layout gets a voucher to Scrap Friends and the second most voted for layout gets a voucher at Lime Tree Creations. Hope to see you there!!

ScrapBoutique Week 6
Just a quick post today to share this layout. This week over at ScrapBoutique the Passion 4 Fasion criteria was Elegant. I have used a photo of Sophie getting ready for her first school social. Did more journalling than I usually would but I wanted to tell the story of how I sometimes wish time would stop because she is growing up way too fast!!!
Had some fun with paint on the background which I stamped on using foil. Love the butterfly which I found at Lincraft of all places!!!! Thanks for looking!

Week 5 - Casual
This week over at ScrapBoutique we were given the criteria of 'Casual' and 40+ words of journalling to scrap. I went for the simple, uncluttered look (for me anyway) and told the story of when Sophie got her first camera. She had fun clicking away for the day and ended up taking over 300 photos!! It was so funny looking at all the ones she had taken. This is actually one of the many self-portraits she had taken. I love the weekly challenges that Chels is giving us and it has really re-ignited my love for scrapping!!!!! Thanks for looking!!

Scrap the Boys Challenge for October
Well we have certainly had a crazy school holidays at our house! We had a great trip away for a few days to catch up with old friends (ate and drank way too much) but now we are home, Harry has decided to get his horrid cough back again!!! Needless to say that not much scrapping has gone on!!! Here is this months challenge over at Scrap the Boys. The challenge this month is to use HANDMADE BOY EMBELLISHMENTS on your layout. You can use purchased handmade products, however please feel free to make your own!!!
Brands to think about if you are purchasing are Lil Red Rocket, A Lil Something, Greatest View, Charms Creations, Chelley Bean Designs and there are many, many more...
I have made the embellies on my layout as I didn't have any handy that matched with my paper and I have to say it was kind of fun to play around!!!
This is a photo of Harry at 1 hour old. Quite impressed with the photo as hubby actually took it because I was still in recovery!!! I love Harry's cute fuzzy hair and how new he is in this photo!! Brings back so many memories. Come over and have a look at the fabulous work of the design team at STB and have a go at the challenge!!
Thanks for dropping by!! :-)

ScrapBoutique Passion 4 Fashion 2011
Over at ScrapBoutique for the next 8 weeks there is a fabulous challenge inspired by fashion and clothing. Basically, you are given a style and have to interpret that onto a scrapbooking page. Week 1 was Haute Couture. How much fun did I have!!!!!!! I was inspired by the layers and unusual looks of this style.
In my layout I used crumpled black tissue paper as a base, lots of ink splattering as well as inking the rolled edges of the page. I couldn't go past adding some feathers to the page and used an unusual turquoise/teal which is not a colour I usually use. I also added some blingy butterflies.
The picture is of Soph and the daughter of a great friend of ours. Even though we aren't related they call each other sister and are inseperable whenever we visit each other. It is so sweet!!!!! Thanks for dropping by!

Scrap the Boys September Challenge!!
You don't realise how much you miss your computer until it's gone!!!! Well I almost had heart failure a couple of weeks ago. The computer was running a little slow and I asked hubby to take it to one of his friends who is a bit of a guru. Imagine my utter shock when I got the phone call from Troy to say that the hard drive was dead!!!! My first thought was 'But everything is on the computer'!!!!!!! After being reassured that he could get everything off there I calmed down a little but it was only today after actually getting on and checking that it is all still here that I have calmed down. Here's hoping it doesn't happen again in a hurry!!!!!
This month at Scrap the Boys there is a great challenge. The challenge is to use household/family ephemera on your layouts. Now this can be anything from clothing labels, toy packaging, gift cards or cards from birthdays, ticket stubs etc.... Here is what I came up with:
This is a picture of Harry on the carousel at Darling Harbour when we were down there last April for the Royal Easter Show. He would have ridden on it all day if we let him!!!
Pop on over to STB if you can this month and check out the great inspiration from the Creative Team. There are some great prizes this month as well. Come and have some fun!!!!!!!!!

Just for fun!!!!
Have had these photos of Sophie and her friend Meg for a while. They were having fun and laughing together one day when Meg had come for a sleep over. Their laughter is so infectious and they play beautifully together. Sometimes you even forget they are here!!!
When I got my new Basic Grey papers in the mail I knew that it would be perfect. Also love the little pattern flower and the rolled flowers (that a special friend taught me how to make)!!!!! We have just got a new Lincraft in town and I can always go and find new things to use on layouts (like the black hat stuff - that's the technical term for it - that I have used in the background). Thanks for dropping by!!!

Scrap Savvy August Sketch Challenge
Popped over to play at Scrapbook Savvy. Haven't been there for a while and felt the need to do a good sketch. This is the sketch for the August Challenge:
and here is what I came up with.
Had fun playing with some mists, crepe paper ribbon and even had a go at making my own embellishment!! Harry was having a ball in the bath with all the bubbles. He would live in the bath if you let him!!! Thanks for popping by!!

Scrap The Boys August Challenge
Have been terribly slack with posting but have still managed to fit in some scrapping time in between everything else that goes on!!! Just loved the challenge over at Scrap the Boys this month!! The colours were so appealing and that's where I have taken my main inspiration from. Here is the photo we were given:
Super cute photo!!! Now here is what I came up with. The picture is of Harry on one of our holidays to Yamba when he was about 18 months old. On this particular day he decided that eating handfuls of sand was a great idea!!!!

Scrap the Girls August Challenge
So, between sick kids and work, scrapping has been on the backburner for a little while. Decided to visit Scrap the Girls and have a go at this months challenge. The challenge for AUGUST is a QUOTE challenge... The quote that MUST be used either as the title or in the journalling is:
Children need love, especially when they do not deserve it. ~Harold Hulbert
As soon as I saw this I knew I had the perfect photo for this. Have been waiting for the right moment to scrap and am extremely happy with how it has turned out! It is a picture of Sophie when she was 5. Obviously I had taken one too many photos!! Have a bit of a thing for splashing ink and paint around at the moment and can't seen to stop myself!!! Thanks for looking!
This is a great challenge so pop over this month if you have time!

Scrap the Boys July Challenge
Having been a pink scrapper for so long I am absolutely loving having found 'Scrap the Boys'. This is my take on this months challenge using the word play and tape. Harry loves playing with his blocks and will sit and play for hours!!!!! Not usually colours I would use but I'm super happy with the result!
Well Here I Go!!!!
Inspired by a friend and spurred on to show some of my work I have decided to start a blog!!!! With a steep learning curve as I go, I am looking forward to sharing my love of scrapping with others!! So here I go!!!!!!!
